Sally Benson (nee Woodgate) is a minor character in the story Charlotte.
Early Life[]
Sally was born in 1965, the second child of Eric and Joan Woodgate. She has one older sister named Susan (b 1962) and one younger sister named Sonia (b 1969). through Susan, Sally became an aunt to a boy named James (b 1991). In 1997, Sally fell pregnant from a one-night stand, eventually giving birth at the start of the following year to a girl named Nina. Shortly afterward, Sally met and fell in love with a man painting portraits in a local park, which caused friction between her and her family, who felt that the man was beneath her. Sally would marry the man in 2000, with whom she would have another child, a girl named Annalise (b 2001). The marriage would only last a few years, but would cause tension with her family, leaving her estranged from them up until her mother's death in 2015.

Unbeknownst to Sally, in the time that she'd been estranged from her family, her sister's son James had begun transitioning from male to female, and was now known by the name Jamie-Lee Burke.
